Homemade Baileys


 It's a very easy recipe and a perfect gift idea for our loved ones during the holidays.

We can use a bought syrup or make our own (it's very easy).


Ingredients 


300ml good Scotch whisky

1 can sweetened condensed milk 397g

1 cup heavy cream (1 cup = 240ml)

1 teaspoon instant coffee

2 teaspoons vanilla extract 

2 tablespoons chocolate syrup



In the bowl of a large blender, put all the ingredients and beat them at low speed until they are homogenized. We do not beat them too much.

We transfer the liqueur to a bottle.

You can keep the Baileys in the fridge for about 2 months.




Ingredients for Chocolate Syrup:


1/4 cup (60 ml or 20g) of cocoa

1/2 cup or 120ml sugar

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/8 teaspoon salt


In a saucepan, mix cocoa (sieved), sugar and salt.

Add water and mix until the ingredients are well dissolved.

Heat the mixture over medium-high heat until it boils. Continue stirring over medium heat for about a minute.

Remove from the heat and add the vanilla. Stir to homogenize the mixture.

Transfer to a jar.

Let it cool and then we use it in our recipe or on top of an ice cream, etc

You can keep in the refrigerator for a long time.
