Tzatziki EN



 For the Greek dip we should use the best, most velvety strained yogurt, plenty of cucumber and enough garlic.

Add as much garlic as you can handle, try with a clove of garlic at first and then add more if you want.

Drain the cucumber well to achieve a creamy and not watery tzatziki.

We accompany it with fries, meat or even plain bread!!


Ingredients 


500g of strained yogurt with at least 5% fat

1 large cucumber

1 1/2 - 2 cloves garlic, crashed 

1 teaspoon vinegar

1/4 cup chopped dill (1 cup = 240ml)

1/4 cup quality olive oil

1/2 teaspoon Salt



Wash and peel half the skin from the cucumber.



Grate it on a coarse grater and place it on a clean kitchen towel or a cheese cloth.


With our hands we squeeze the towel very well to remove all the cucumber juice and add the drained cucumber to the yogurt.



Add all the other ingredients and a clove of garlic (taste and if add as much garlic as you want or can handle. I put 2 cloves of garlic).


Mix and refrigerate.

Serve it chilled with a drizzle of oil, some dill and accompany it with pita bread, fries or meat.
